There are no accounts here, and no payment is ever taken on the site itself. You can build a shopping list, which stays on your own device, and send it to us on WhatsApp if you like. Paying is arranged with us directly, and we run no advertising or analytics tracking.

We do not collect your personal details through this website. There is nowhere on it to create an account or enter a payment. The shopping list you can build stays on your own phone or computer, and we never see it unless you choose to send it to us on WhatsApp.
Giottos Global Limited is the data controller for everything described on this page. We trade as Giottos African Store. In plain terms, we are responsible for your information, and we are the ones to ask about it. You will find us at 355B Aylsham Road, Norwich NR3 2RX, which is also our registered office. Our second shop is at 5/6 Middle Market Road, Great Yarmouth NR30 2DT.
For anything about this page, email our email address or call us on the shop number.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: we keep what you send us so we can answer you and put it by for collection. If you would rather we did not, you have the right to object. Say so and we will stop and delete what we hold.
We keep WhatsApp and email conversations for twelve months so we can answer you and put items by, then we delete them. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass your number on to anyone else.
Two things, and both are saved by your own browser using a feature called local storage. Neither is a cookie, neither is sent to us, and neither is sent anywhere else.
Both stay until you clear them. You can empty the list at any time by opening it and choosing Clear list, and you can remove both by clearing site data for this website in your browser settings.
Both are strictly necessary for the thing you asked for: a list you can build and send to the right shop. Storage like that is exempt under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. So we do not have to ask your consent, and you are not made to click through a banner.
Sending your list, or using the contact form on the home page, opens WhatsApp with a message already written out. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp itself. At that point your message and phone number reach us through WhatsApp. WhatsApp is run by Meta, and Meta's own privacy terms apply to that conversation.
If you pay by bank transfer, we send you our bank details on WhatsApp and your name shows up on the payment when it reaches us. We never ask for card numbers, and this website has no way to take a card payment. If anything ever asks you for card details in our name, it is not us.
WhatsApp, Google and GitHub are all run from outside the UK, so a message you send us, or a page you load, may be handled on servers abroad under their own safeguards.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking on this website.
We do not set any cookies of our own, and none are set when you arrive. The only cookies that may appear come from a Google map, and only after you have pressed Show map on the Visit page. That is why this site does not put a cookie banner in your way.
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you. You can ask us to correct it, delete it, stop using it, or send you a copy. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
In practice, the only personal information we are likely to hold is a WhatsApp or email conversation you started. Ask us and we will delete it.
If we change how the website handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
